important video instructions

•Check the video quality settings on your phone or device and make sure they are turned up to at least HD 1080 resolution.

•No filtering, editing, or altering video in any enhancement manner. Only acceptable edit is a trim at start and finish. Absolutely no in video cuts.

•Camera must remain stationary and at a fixed location at all times. Only exception is Position 4 of the walk/routine.

•Camera should be placed at about belly button height and have no severe pitches or angles.

•Choose a spot that will give you good lighting for all of your positions.

•Use the rear facing camera on your phone as this will yield the best quality video.

•You may benefit from doing a test run of your XA, XB,XC, and CAM positions. Make the neces- sary tweaks for your setting and camera, and then mark your positions on the floor. A test run can also help you determine optimal lighting situations.

Too close. Feet are cut off in the Xa position.

Too far from the camera in the Xa position.

Being this far in the Xa position will ensure you will be even worse in the Xb position.

This could be a good Xb position, but not Xa

Camera Check

Each competitor is permitted a single camera check if they are unsure of their Xa and Xb positions for prejudging. Shoot a quick video of you standing in both positions. The create two screen shots and submit below. These must be screen shots from a video and NOT regular photos since photo and video may use different zooming lenses. Turn around time for approval is up to 24 hours, so do attempt this check when you plan to do your actual prejudging video.
